• “Clickthrough”: now you can click on the name of a wall in the send panel, and click through to that wall. This opens a window which takes you to the network as if you were logged in. With this we are adding an important function to seReive, which allows to observe what is happening in the different networks without having to leave seReive. Currently it works for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. For the other social media platforms, the function will be available shortly.
• Improved user interface: simple, clear structure, comprehensible terms.
• Phasing out hi5. The network hi5 has in recent years become increasingly meaningless. We will phase out its support step by step. With the current version you can still use hi5, but you can no longer set up new hi5 accounts.
• The code for the link-shortener has changed. From nowon all the links shortened contain the URL clkk.me. This replaces the previous samu.li

• «Durchblick»: neu kann man im Sendefenster auf den Namen einer Pinnwand klicken und sich damit zur Pinnwand durchklicken. Damit ergänzen wir seReive um eine wichtige Funktion, die es ermöglicht, zu beobachten, was in den verschiedenen Netzwerken passiert, ohne seReive verlassen zu müssen. Aktuell funktioniert das für Facebook, Twitter und LinkedIn. Für die anderen Social Media Plattformen wird die Funktion bald verfügbar sein.
• Verbesserte Benutzeroberfläche: einfacher, klarer strukturiert, verständlichere Bezeichnungen.
• Hi5 nur noch begrenzt verfügbar. Das Netzwerk hi5 wurde in den letzten Jahren immer bedeutungsloser. Wir werden seine Unterstützung Schritt für Schritt einstellen. Mit der aktuellen Version kann man hi5 zwar noch nutzen, man kann aber in seReive kein neues hi5-Konto mehr einrichten.
• Die Kennung für den Link-Verkürzer wurde geändert. Ab sofort enthalten alle verkürzten Links die URL clkk.me. Dies ersetzt das bisherige samu.li

Letzten Freitag am späten Nachmittag haben wir seReive 1.02 veröffentlicht. Neu kann man jetzt Fotos direkt in ein Facebook Album posten. Bisher wurden sie nur auf den seReive-Server geladen. Weil es bei Facebook nicht möglich ist, einen Post zu branden und gleichzeitig ein Foto in ein Album hochzuladen, haben wir dies nun dadurch verdeutlicht, dass nur eine der beiden Möglichkeiten angewählt werden kann.
Die entscheidende Neuerung jedoch ist die Zeitleiste mit ihren Editier-Möglichkeiten. Sie ersetzt das frühere Archiv. Neben allen bisher verschickten Posts sieht man in der Zeitleiste pendente Nachrichten. Diese können entweder gelöscht oder editiert werden.
Handelt es sich um Gruppen von Nachrichten, die gemeinsam und gleichzeitig zum Versand freigegeben wurden, kann man zwar einzelne Posts löschen, aber wenn man Text, Fotos oder Versand-Zeitpunkt bearbeiten will, geht das nur, wenn man die ganze Gruppe anklickt. Anschliessend öffent sich das Editier-Fenster, das die Nachricht behandelt, als würde sie komplett neu veröffentlicht. Gleichzeitig werden diese Posts aus dem Zwischenspeicher entfernt. Das bedeutet, wenn man nach dem Editieren nicht auf Versenden klickt, werden diese Posts auch nicht verschickt. Sie sind damit faktisch gelöscht. Umgekehrt gewährt diese Methode, getreu unserem Motto, die grösste Flexibilität bei gleichzeitig einfachster Handhabung. Siehe auch Bildergalerie.

Last Friday late afternoon we released seReive 1.02. New one can now post photos directly to a Facebook album. Previously they were only uploaded to the seReive server. Because it is not possible on Facebook, to brand a post and simultaneously upload a photo into an album, we have rewritten the software so that only one of two options can be selected.
The key innovation, however, is the Timeline with its editing capabilities. It replaces the previous Archive. In addition to all previously sent posts you can now see pending messages in the Timeline. These can either be deleted or edited.
If there are groups of messages that have been released jointly and simultaneously on sending, you can delete individual posts. But if you want to edit text, photos or sending date, this is only possible when clicking on the whole group. The then opening editing window treats the posts as if they would be released from scratch. The editing window is equal to the Send panel. At the same time, these posts will be removed from the pending posts’ cache. This means that if one does not click to send after editing, these posts will not be sent. They would then in fact be deleted. Conversely, this method, true to our motto, gives users the greatest flexibility with greatest ease of use. When Samuli and I invented seReive it was clear that she had some female characters, if you can say that about an application. But her true nature was hidden even from us until Lorena Valentini uncovered it. Out of all of her first ideas for a logo there was one hitting our eyes and clearly sticking out: an octopus. We immediately understood that this was seReive’s true nature that she had hidden from us so far. But that octopus was looking like from a scientific sketch-book. It had to be further developed to also represent seReive’s technical character, because after all, seReive is and remains an application: www.seeReive.com. Lorena did a great job that both of us hadn’t been able to visualize before she was done with the logo. (So far. She says she still needs to do some minor adjustments, but that will happen after her holidays, and most of us probably won’t even notice it.)

So, you may ask, why an octopus?

1. We were looking for something really unique and outstanding, just like seReive’s nature, but it should be from the animal kingdom and represent the abilities of seReive to handle so many platforms (think of the arms…).
2. Octopuses belong of the most intelligent animal species, even though you wouldn’t think so, and have even been shown to possess problem-solving skills.
3. seReive is extremely helpful to your daily social media business but she also has  a mean part in her character, because sometimes in social media campaigns you need to be tough, because you have to fight a competition, and then you shouldn’t be too nice.
4. Octopuses have the ability to change colors in order to camouflage; just like our white label solutions for professional users; you won’t see her, even as she is there, waiting for her prey.

And the claim “one 2 control them all” ?  - obvious: control all of your team’s social networks from one single platform.
